Volunteering / Stewarding

We are extremely pleased to be welcoming Oxfam back to both Bestival and Camp Bestival to take charge of our Stewarding.

By volunteering to work for Oxfam Stewards you earn money for the charity while you work. In brief, a steward acts as the eyes and ears of the festival, you will be aware of something happening on the festival site first as people will come and tell you. Your primary role is to keep people safe and informed. General roles may include staffing gates, checking tickets and passes, patroling campsites and keeping an eye out for overcrowding and safety in the arena.

NB: the vast majority of voluntary roles at both Bestival 2009 and Camp Bestival 2009 will be via Oxfam. There will also be a handful for both shows recuited from past volunteers. So, if you have worked for us before, you may hear from us...
