• Bestival Charity Total Exceeds Expectations

    • 107_thurs_biketobestival_vf-0015

Bestival has always been about having the most epic party and spreading the love. But this year the Bestival crowd has truly outdone themselves, not only by having just about the greatest four-day dance known to man but also by raising an utterly incredible £98,473.00 for charity.

Money was collected across the weekend for a whole bunch of charities including IOW Youth Trust, Energy Revolution, Oxfam, Mycause, Greenpeace, FRANK Water, Weld Hospice, Bike to Bestival, Bristol Bike Project, Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), Poole Waste Not Want Not, South West Food Collective and Imagicool plus there were competition tickets, ticket donations, festival pitches and lots more.

We know by definition that Bestival crew are the very best but we’re properly humbled by your generosity and want to say a massive thank you to you all.

    Big love

With 20 volunteers, SWFC collected 1.8 tons of surplus produce from traders and customers, with an approximate retail value of £6,694 – over twice as much as what was collected at Bestival in 2017. The produce was delivered to Poole Waste Not Want Not, a registered charity in Dorset who will use the produce to stock their community shop, which aims to help vulnerable people and those on a low/nil income in the community.

It’s estimated that they also made approx £8k on their not for profit food truck, provided by Seven Mile Catering & Events.

    Peace and love x

  • Thank you so much for making Bestival 2018 the best one yet!

    • Finale_2

OMG you Bestival beauties! Thank you so much for making Bestival 2018 the best one yet. You’ve all been so much fun! This year was the show we have always dreamed of putting on. It truly felt like the original boutique Bestival but with all the best treasures we have collected over the last 15 years. What a weekend, packed with all our favourite artists, venues, food, wellbeing and decor. And we have been blessed with the most beautiful weather.

Team Bestival work so hard all year round and this weekend was testimony to all that hard work. So many magical moments have been created by this amazing team. And this year we made a really big change behind the scenes to work with APL (the Ludford family) and they smashed it ❤️❤️❤️

A special shout out to all the people that have made Bestival so special over the years… Angus Watts for the flags, Two Tigers and Angel Fire for fireworks, Cirque Bijou for the never-ending circus and 2018’s incredible finale, Chris Tofu for the extraordinary music, Pete Bateman, the man behind Caravanserai and too many more to mention. ❤️

That really was a vintage year!!!

Bestival is excited to announce that we have teamed up with Woov to provide this year’s Bestival App. Android and iOS compatible and stuffed full of handy features, your Bestival experience can only get a whole lot better with Woov! Set times will go live Weds evening so you can plan your weekend.

Download the Woov App and using the three icons at the bottom of the screen you can start planning four days of serious circus fun. With the Profile icon you can invite friends through WhatsApp, FB Messenger and more and then the fun really begins. You can start groups, and when you’re here they’ll help you find your crew if you get separated.

The music icon is the place to create your own timetable of acts and entertainment to catch. With full schedules for each day and loads of artist info, you’ll always be in the know. And the Flame icon allows you to share messages and tip off your mates about all the music and madness you find.

If you get a bit lost, the top right icon is your friend. Give it a tap and it opens an interactive map of Bestival’s rolling green fields, so you can plot your course across the Lulworth Estate. With everything you could possibly want to find, you can navigate your way to everything from ATMs and Ambientland to food traders and our mind-blowing music stage Temple. With a ton of helpful features, you can click on a stage to reveal its line-up or drop a pin to find your tent after a long day of maximum good times.
