We’re super excited to launch the inaugural Bike to Bestival riding to our new home on the Lulworth Estate! We want Bestival-goers to get on their bikes and join us on our mission to reduce Bestival’s environmental impact while raising money for an amazing charity – and to top it all off, Bike to Bestival riders will receive a free Bestival ticket! Interested cyclists can register here!
Rob da Bank says: “On your bike Bestival! We love unusual ways of getting to festivals, especially when they’re environmentally friendly and good for the soul. We’ve supported the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust for many years, and we’re really chuffed to be working with them again for this awesome project. So, what are you waiting for? Join our Bike to Bestival and ride an amazing scenic cycle route along the Jurassic Coast, where all roads lead to Bestival. We’ll be greeting all money-raising riders in Lulworth for a celebration and a dance!”
Run in conjunction with Velo Domestique all participants will set off from Bournemouth on Thursday 7th September accompanied by a team of skilled marshals who will keep everyone on track, motivated, and ensure they arrive safely at Bestival. Everyone who successfully completes the 25-mile Bike to Bestival ride will be issued with a free weekend Bestival ticket, reserved prime camping in our Emerald City campsite, and a few added extras to boot!
Participants will be required to pay a £25 administration fee, and raise a minimum of £120 for charity. Bestival’s chosen charity is the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust – an amazing charity working to empower and inspire young people aged 8-24. The Bestival team will give entrants all the help they need to get their fundraising pages set up, as well as some help through our promotion channels.
Registration closes on 4th August, successful applicants will be notified by 7th August. Places are limited so be quick if you want be part of our super-charity peloton.
We hope to see you on two wheels, helping us to increase the peace en route to Bestival!
