Peckham born and based Martha has fast become one of underground music’s prominent young DJs. Having started making radio at 16 years old, Martha’s fortnightly NTS show celebrates electronic music culture across the world.
Martha has previously crafted guest mixes for Resident Advisor, Dummy, Rinse FM, NTS, Rinse France and Hotel Radio Paris, with her mix for Hyponik earning inclusion in FACT’s Mixes of the Week. Also an exhibiting sound artist, Martha was commissioned by the Laundry Arts Programme to interpret the relationship between sound and memory in the first installment of their exhibition series.
Also an accomplished radio producer and journalist, Martha currently produces Annie Nightingale’s legendary BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra show and Resident Advisor’s focal podcast The Hour, a series of documentaries and discussions exploring Electronic music culture. Martha’s stories in The Hour have covered an extensive range of topics, including Techno Feminism, dance music trolls, 10 years of Night Slugs, and a tribute to music theorist Mark Fisher, featuring interviews with The Black Madonna, Steffi, Flying Lotus, Jlin, Ikonika, Ben Klock and more.
Martha has also previously featured in Nike’s ‘London’s Fastest’ campaign as well as working with Champion on their ‘Local Champions’ project.
