Voluntary Work
The application process for voluntary work at Bestival 2008 is now open. There will be a number of roles available, including pre-event build (and post event take-down), runners, ticket rippers, disabled camping attendants, administration roles and our Green Team. Our stewarding is being run by Oxfam this year... more info on that at the very bottom of this story.
Please read the following information very carefully before clicking on the link below to fill in our online form:
- The minimum availability for ALL volunteers is midday Thursday 4th to midday Monday 8th Sept inclusive. If you are unable to commit to this please do not fill in the form.
- You will be volunteering to work 4 x 5 hour shifts (approximately).
- Volunteers work on a voluntary basis. We will provide a free return passenger (not car) ferry via Wightlink from Portsmouth Harbour. You will not receive any other expenses or meals (although some food stalls will offer you discounts if you show your volunteers wristband)
- Successful applicants will be required to provide a monetary bond of £150 by cheque which will be returned at the end of the event.
- Successful applicants will, in most cases, be allocated their particular role on arrival at Bestival.
- Minimum age 18

Oxfam Stewarding
