Boutique Campsite
Bestival was the first festival to have a Boutique Campsite. In fact, Josie da Bank coined the phrase after the very first Bestival when she wanted to increase the number and variation of quirky and interesting places for people to stay in while at our festival.
The Boutique Campsite is expanding and moving to a new location for Bestival 2008 and this year it will feature Bestival Bivouacs, PodPads, Tipis, Yurts, Beach Huts, Busbeds, Ship's Cabins and Frontier Wagons... plus it will also have its own set of high quality showers and toilets, a Breakfast Cafe, and will benefit from enhanced 24 hour security. NB: There will ALSO be a separate Tipi Field without the extras like exclusive toilets and showers... and thus a bit cheaper to hire. Please see the other article on this website for more info.
Bestival Bivouacs
Exclusive to both Camp Bestival and Bestival are the Bestival Bivouacs - traditional pole tents which are fully lined floor to ceiling in stunning sumptuous hand worked velvet. They all have carpeted floor with hand woven rugs, cushions, lights and power to charge your phone or even blow dry your hair. Some come with double beds fully made up with white cotton linen and velvet bed spreads, others are family rooms with a double and one or two single beds... or simply take one unfurnished and bring your own bedding and inflatable mattresses.
NB: Bestival Bivouacs are now fully booked for both Bestival and Camp Bestival 2008.

PodPads
PodPads are cosy little lovingly decorated huts that contain a groundsheet, fitted carpet, shelving, interior light and locks on the front door. They are weatherproof, secure, safe and cosy and come with double or twin beds with a mattress and storage space underneath. Eco-friendly, the PodPads are solar-powered by their fabulous sunflower solar panels!

Tipis & Yurts
As well as our new Tipi Field you will still be able to hire Tipis and Yurts as part of the Boutique Campsite. Tipis are beautiful aesthetic structures which grace the skyline in a truly unique way while Yurts are roomy hand-crafted Mongolian inspired structures. Both come with a basic ground covering of coir matting. Depending on which size you pick there may or may not be furnished options available:

Beach Huts
A beach hut sleeps up to 2 people sharing a foam fold sofa bed. Equipped with bedside table, table light and power point for mobile phone/laptop charging plus an iPod/mp3 player docking point.

BusBeds
BusBeds are converted double-decker buses. You can hire the upper 7 berth deck or the lower 4 berth deck and they come with a tea and coffee bar, hospitality area, chiller cabinet and proper beds!

Ship's Cabins
These are kinda like a larger version of a Beach Hut and sleep 4 people on 2 double foam fold sofa beds. Equipped with bedside table, table light and power point for mobile phone/laptop charging plus an iPod/mp3 player docking point.

Frontier Wagon
This North American Frontier Wagon sleeps a maximum of 6 adults and comes furnished simply with coir matting, sheepskin rugs, mexican blankets, tables and night lights.
