Pioneers of London's increasingly influential dubstep scene and a major ingredient in the DMZ label, Digital Mystikz post-grime mutations are likely to be even more unavoidable in coming months. Following their omnipresence within the nation's underground bass-addicted club nights, the Soul Jazz label has snapped up two singles to shed further light on this youthful movement. Meantime, Aphex Twin's Rephlex logo has also licensed a batch of releases for an upcoming compilation to suggest that this sound - as rooted in the sound system cultures of reggae and jungle as it is in electronica and electro - looks set to now infiltrate the rest of the planet.
Highlighting their brand of instrumental dark garage at Bestival, Digital Mystikz appears alongside Sgt Pokes for a very special set.
