Sebastien Tellier

After spending much of his early career as a contemporary of the 90's French pop scene, Parisian poet and accomplished singer/songwriter, Sebastien Tellier has suddenly found himself at the forefront of the French electronic new wave.

2005's album Politics was a weird and wonderful collection of synth ballads and 60's tinged power pop but it also contained a very different song indeed.  That song was called 'La Ritournelle', seven and a half minutes of piano led, string drenched wonderment that catapulted Tellier into the limelight and opened him up to a much wider audience.

His name now rests comfortably beside the giants of French alternative music, Phoenix, Air, Daft Punk, in fact Daft Punk's Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo has produced his new album Sexuality, an aptly named collection of electro infused wide screen pop gems that sees Tellier exploring the art of sex and love making as only a Frenchman can.
