What Is Sunday Best?

Rob da Bank founded Sunday Best in February 1995. Originally it was a weekly Sunday night leftfield club hosted under the centuries-old beams of south London's 'Tearooms des Artistes' with an ethos based on an anything goes musical policy plus mind blowing hallucinogenic visuals, scrummy food, beer and cocktails.

In 1997 Rob wanted an outlet for some of the amazing music he was hearing... and Sunday Best Recordings was born!

The label in the early days was best known for releasing groundbreaking eclectic compilations that introduced the world to then unknown artists such as Groove Armada, Lemon Jelly and Bent.

More recently Sunday Best's line up has expanded significantly to feature an eclectic roster of talented artists... many of whom will be performing live at Bestival this year!
