On Island: Shuttle Buses (& Taxis)

During the festival the island's bus company Southern Vectis will be running special Bestival Shuttle services to make it as easy as possible for you to get to the Bestival site (and back). Please read all the following information very carefully...

SHUTTLE BUS INFO FOR BESTIVAL 2011
There will be no Shuttle Buses at the Robin Hill entrance again this year, this area will be for Taxis, Drop offs/pick ups and Big Greenn Coaches only.

Shuttle Buses (from the ferry ports and island towns) will be dropping off and picking up at the Shuttle Bus Station very near to the main entrance to the campsites. We moved this last year to give us lots more space to hold more buses on Monday (and to give you a shorter walk to the campsites!).

IMPORTANT NEW TRAVEL INFO FOR 2011
The roads which directly surround  the event will be for event traffic only from Thursday 8th September @ 9am until Monday 12th September @ 6pm. All local traffic should avoid this area and find alternative routes.

There will be no pedestrian access on the roads which directly surround the event. There will be no pedestrian drop offs allowed anywhere except the designated vehicle drop off point within the Robin Hill main entrance.

There will be a traffic regulation order in place near the event to prevent people from walking along dangerous stretches of road. Please help us by following the instructions of the traffic stewards.

Ticket holders can access the event using any entrance. If you find yourself at a different entrance to your friends please enter the show and arrange to meet inside at one of the colour coded campsite hubs.

Drink or drug-driving ruins lives. You can’t put a value on a life, so why take the risk?

There will be a shuttle bus running between the Robin Hill entrance and the Downs Road entrance through-out the event weekend to prevent both staff and public walking in the road.
