CAR TRAVEL INFO FOR BESTIVAL 2011
The main camping car parks are located in the same place as last year so please look out for and follow the ‘Camping Car Park’ signs as you approach the festival.
Campervans will be in the same place as 2010. Please follow sign for ‘Campervans’.
All Boutique campers - please look out for ‘Boutique Camping’ signs so you know where to park for easiest access.
We work closely with both Red Funnel and Wightlink ferry companies to reduce congestion at the ports on the Monday. You must help to play your part by turning up for your scheduled ferry on time, but no earlier than 1 hour before your ferry time - THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!
When you are arriving and, more importantly, when you are leaving Bestival, please stay tuned in to Bestival FM on 87.7FM to get the latest traffic and travel info.
CAR TRAVEL DIRECTIONS
Once on the island, please follow these directions from the ferry ports to the Bestival site and car park:
From East Cowes ferry: Take second exit at roundabout onto A3021. At next roundabout take the 1st exit onto A3054 (signposted Ryde). Turn right onto Park Road (signposted Sandown, A3056). At mini-roundabout bear right onto Briddlesford Road (signposted Sandown). Go straight over next roundabout onto Downend Road (signposted Arreton / Sandown). Turn left after Hare & Hounds Pub (signposted Newchurch) and follow signs for the Camping Car Park
From Fishbourne ferry: Travel up B3339 (Fishbourne Lane). Turn right onto the A3054 (signposted Newport). At traffic signals turn left onto Station Road (signposted Sandown A3055). At mini-roundabout turn left onto Briddlesford Road (signposted Sandown). Go straight over next roundabout onto Downend Road (signposted Arreton / Sandown). Turn left after Hare & Hounds Pub (signposted Newchurch). Left into car park.
From Yarmouth ferry: Take the A3054 to Newport. At St Mary's roundabout take the 3rd exit onto A3020 (signposted Town Centre). At Coppins Bridge roundabout take the 1st exit onto A3054 (signposted Ryde). At traffic signals turn right onto Staplers Road. Then turn right onto Long Lane. Continue forward onto Longlane Shute. At roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Downend Road (signposted Arreton, Sandown). Turn left after Hare & Hounds Pub (signposted Newchurch). Left into car park.

CAR PARK CHARGE
Car Parking Tickets are payable when you arrive in cash at a cost of £10 until 6pm on Saturday and £5 thereafter. You only need to buy a ticket once and it will be valid for the whole weekend, no matter how many times you come and go.
CAR SHARING
If you must come to Bestival by car, please fill it up with people. Even if you only have one space free in your car, please head over to our FestivalBudi car sharing page and get yourselves signed up. Thanks.
