Time For Tease

The Time For Tease tent uniquely fuses the tradition of British afternoon tea with the decadent world of burlesque cabaret and is an essential port of call during your time at Bestival!

This is their fifth year doing Bestival and they are going to be bigger and better than ever before with more tea sittings, more surprises and the return of their fabulous midnight cabaret shows. Here's an idea of what to expect.

AFTERNOON TEA SITTINGS

You will be able to make bookings online from August 1st for tea. If you don't want to commit to a time right now - DON'T WORRY, we have a walk in queue for every sitting, of which at least 40 people get in from every time... plus we're having the less formal Twilight Tease sets this year which are for walk ins only and are racier than your average tease!

DR SKETCHY'S - SAUCY LIFE DRAWING!

Life drawing is more than just nude models and serious sketching. Dr Sketchy's find beautiful burlesque performers, bizarre circus acts, and rippling hunks of man-flesh and let them loose on stage to release the artist in you!

In between each round of sketching our larger-than-life models you get a chance to grab a drink get comfortable and take in some brilliant burlesque, comedy, music, poetry and quirky cabaret performances all hosted by the brilliant Dusty Limits.

Dr Sketchy isn't about being an amazing artist, as long as you can put pencil to paper and move it around that's good enough for us and you never know you might just unleash that artist inside. It's what art classes would be if the class was let loose in the Moulin Rouge.

Catch Dr Sketchy's from 8.30 – 10.30pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening.

TIME FOR ... CABARET

Friday - 'C30, C60, C80's Go'
We bring you an 80’s extravaganza on Friday night. Originally conceived as a one off charity night for the Ayrshire Hospice, this show received such high acclaim that we feel Bestival deserves its own little piece of 80’s nostalgia.

Expect performances from Adam Ant, Morrissey, Sam Fox, a Chippendale and more! All brilliant, all surprising and very very funny.

Saturday - Diva Face Off!
Saturday night is always Bestival Theme Night in the Time For Tease tent. The wonderful Beyond the Cabaret, with its incredibly talented cast of performers, will be giving life and paying tribute to some of the greatest Rock Stars, Pop Stars and Diva’s of the last century. Only here will you see the likes of Prince, Elvis & Judy Garland, battle it out in a bid to be crowned ‘Ultimate Diva’.

Sunday - Sometimes Christmas Comes in... September!
We’ve resurrected the (now legendary) out of season Christmas Extravaganza – more kitsch than anything else at Bestival this year (and that’s saying something!), surely there can be no better way to spend the last night of the festival than to celebrate everyone’s favourite time of year…Christmas! Beyond the Cabaret believe every day should be Christmas Day, so expect to see the cream of the Cabaret world dusting off their festive offerings…there will be presents, there will be carols…there may even be a visit from Father Christmas himself!
