Thomas Urv

Thomas Urv is one of the key players of the Norwegian techno scene. He has been djing radioshows and nearly every club, festival and illegal rave in Norway ever since he purchased a pair of Technics  aged 14, more than 20 years ago.

He has promoted countless clubnights and big events around Norway, presenting numerous international techno acts and djing alongside more. Artists like Luke Slater, Jeff Mills, Derrick May, Surgeon, Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Paul Woolford, Dj Hell, Dave Clarke, Mathew Jonson, Robert Hood, Tiesto, Slam, Speedy J, Kevin Saunderson, Oliver Ho, Marcel Dettmann, Marco Carola, Radio Slave, Ben Sims, James Ruskin, CJ Bolland, Paul Woolford, Claude Young… The list goes on but you get the point.

He has toured Scandinavia, Finland, Spain, France, The Netherlands, Canada and the UK and is currently busy in the studio, building up material for future releases.

Known for his fast and complex mixing skills, musically his sets go high and low within new techno, open to the melodic as well as the rythmic, not hesitating to spice it up with the odd techno classic, his appearance at this year’s Bestival represents your chance to experience one of the world’s finest techno Djs up close and personal on a rare trip to these shores.
