Bestival are pleased to welcome along shoegaze legends Cranes.

Hailing from just across the Solent in Portsmouth, the band spent much of the late eighties and early nineties producing a prolific number of albums that never compromised on quality, producing a unique sound based around Alison Shaw’s ethereal vocals backed by a razor sharp, metallic wall of sound.

After a brief hiatus in the late nineties the band returned with a lush new ambient outlook in 2001 and have been steadily releasing material every since, which while a world away from their early gothic roots still revolves around Alison’s wondrous voice.
