Count Sizzle

DJ Count Sizzle’s passion for killer diller dance floor grooves encompasses a myriad of genres and rhythms that span 80 years of African-American music.

From the earliest Hot Jazz, Blues, Gospel, Swing, Rhythm ‘n Blues, Bop, through to Calypso, Ska, Rocksteady, Soul & Funk. His sets are accessible but no concessions are given to anything twee or cheesy in his quest to make the floor burn.

Equally at home playing original shellac 78 rpm records or spinning 45 rpm vinyl – every record is an event in it’s self!

Count Sizzle is the co-organizer of Winterwell festival, curating, hosting and DJing in his very own Sizzle Suite tent for the last five years. Which show cases some of the best young bands that draw influence from all his favorite music but write all their own songs.
